Our Classroom Website

MEET MS. WEBER

Hi there! My name is Ms. Melissa Weber, and I will be running this website for the 2017-2018 school year in order to better serve the students, parents, and guardians in my classroom. On this site, you will find important information such as upcoming events/activities, copies of resources, and much more! For some of us (myself included), having information digitally is preferred and more easily accessible, so the purpose of this website is to provide an additional resource for parent(s)/guardian(s) and students to promote a positive educational experience.

Professional
I am going into my fourteenth year of teaching at ECHO School, and I have taught in an ACHIEVE High School classroom since I started at ECHO. I graduated from Illinois State University in May of 2004 with an undergraduate degree in Special Education (Learning and Behavior Specialist I), and I received my master's degree in Multi-Categorical Special Education in June of 2010. I have been a Special Olympics coach at ECHO since the Spring of 2011 season, and I am also an active member on ECHO School's Student Support Team.

Personal
I am a big fan of Marvel Comics, Game of Thrones, and dogs. A few of my favorites include the color yellow, Italian and Mexican foods, chocolate, coffee, the Fall season, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Chicago White Sox, the Chicago Bulls, and the Green Bay Packers. In my free time, I enjoy attending sporting events and concerts, coaching youth sports, relaxing, and spending time with my loved ones.
